Our Journey, Our People
Green HPSP was not built in a day. It was shaped by pioneers, guided by science, and strengthened by partnerships. For more than three decades, our story has been writen not only in laboratories and factories, but also in the dedication of the people who stood with us.
Founder Background
Our founder and Managing Director, Mr. Ong Kian Huat, is a chemist and a pioneer in specialty rubber polymer development. After completing his post-graduate Diploma in Natural Rubber Technology, he began his career in the 1980s working in the fields of NR polymer research, production, engineering, quality assurance and marketing of rubber. In collaboration with the Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia (RRIM), he began to delve in NR modification, latex stabilization preservatives, NR-synthetic blends, DPNR, ENR, LNR, Cyclized Rubber, Creamed Latex, LMWR and Latex Foam Formulation. He served as technical advisor to Heveafoam, Chemeni, Chalong Latex Industry and other leading players in the industry.
Mr. Ong is recognized as one of the earliest innovators of specialty rubber polymers in Southeast Asia. His technical legacy laid the foundation for Green HPSP’s joint ventures and affiliated operations including Beaufort Specialty Rubber Sdn. Bhd. (Sabah) and Green Isoprene Co., Ltd. (Thailand).
